On the night before they leave for college, Clare and Aidan only have one thing left to do: figure out whether they should stay together or break up. Over the course of twelve hours, they’ll retrace the steps of their relationship, trying to find something in their past that might help them decide what their future should be. The night will lead them to friends and family, familiar landmarks and unexpected places, hard truths and surprising revelations. But as the clock winds down and morning approaches, so does their inevitable goodbye. The question is, will it be goodbye for now or goodbye forever?

This new must-read novel from Jennifer E. Smith, author of The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, explores the difficult choices that must be made when life and love lead in different directions.

And again Jennifer E. Smith released a book with a very cutesy cover that every bookworm will be drooling over. Kudos to Jennifer for her never-ending cute doodle like title!!! I don’t know about you but covers like these are one of the reasons why I buy them haha.

Now moving on to the story, two high school graduates, Clare and Aidan, have one full night to figure out if they should stay together and phantom the distance and make it work or go split up for the better. Claire made a list of stops that they’re gonna stop by and try to relive  all the moments that they’ve done together from the start and enjoy the last few hours together before they go separate ways in college.

It’s been a while since I read a book that really captured my heart. And I can say that this book is a must read. I’m so in love with Aidan not only because he is a lacrosse player but even though he acts like a cold-hearted douche bag towards Clare he knows how to make it up to her and I think guys like that are very hard to find nowadays. I really liked Claire’s way of thinking. She thinks ahead of time and she really plans everything thoroughly. Clare is very open-minded, she thinks of all the possibilities, both positive and negative ones. She also thinks what’s for the better so that they could maintain their friendship.

Then the most awaited day came by, Clare left her hometown, her friends, and her Aidan. The couple’s decision really didn’t shock me anymore since the synopsis hinted that they would go separate ways. Even though it’s not shocking anymore, I still felt like a piece of me was crushed and thrown outside the window. I’ve grown too attached to the couple. And letting go is hard. Really HARD. Not only for me but for the characters as well. This book taught me a lot of lessons. Like think big and think of the negative and positive possibilities that could happen when letting go of someone we love. Because what’s meant to be will be and if you guys are really meant for each other fate and destiny will find its way to get you back together.

 Final Verdict:
